<br />
Can you tell I am listening to Glee?<br />
<br />
I have less than 7 months of being a teenager left. 2016 is staring me down like something that I am looking forward to and slightly terrified of at the same time.<br />
<br />
If you have been around these parts since 2010 then thank you for staying on this journey with me. I have just written a post signalling I will be a bit quieter on my second blog Dear Aphrodite next year, as I am thinking about changing my voice and seeing what I can make with that. As a result three online presences may be too much. But I do love that blog, so it is more of a pause than a closure.<br />
<br />
But this blog was my first; and like most firsts, they aren't that easy to leave behind. So I am not.<br />
<br />
I wanted to write this post to let you know how I am feeling looking ahead to next year.<br />
<br />
This blog is like my baby. From starting with me staring into a glass case at a Chanel jacket at the V&A back in 2010, to in 2015 becoming a member of that very museum; just shows how far I have come. This blog is where that all started.<br />
<br />
Earlier this year (after a unplanned hiatus) I said I was going to stick more to the name of this blog - Diary. And I think that will be the best thing I can do going forward, use this as my online diary.<br />
<br />
I can't say how often I will post on here yet; I am thinking monthly or bi-weekly (I am slightly ill at the moment and sleep deprived so forgive me for not fully working it out yet), but like most of my life I think it will surprise me, which I am looking forward too.<br />
<br />
I enjoy talking about London, fashion and my tips on things, so this can become my musing ground for that and anything else I fancy.<br />
<br />
Anyway, this time I am not saying goodbye, just maybe I am changing, if you are going to join me on the ride then welcome aboard - I have a good feeling about this!<br />
<br />
Love as always,<br />
A xx<br />

I<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> was not someone who went hyper this Black Friday; and for those of you brave enough to face the shops in real life - bravo! I</span><span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> am not and never will be one of you. Sale shopping makes me feel quite stressed and I am not a fan of the mob mentality that people can get into in order to nab the best deal.</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">To be honest for the past few years this day hasn't meant anything to me bar seeing the scenes on TV that drew parallels to political riots; all for £400 off a flat screen and for the IT handbag at 20% off.</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Today however, I bought into the hype. <span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">Literally. </span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
On my lunch break I went online and purchased; rather ironically; Penguin's Little Black Classics collection in the display box. 50% off the RRP. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I had previously tried and failed to win a set and today I simply couldn't resist. I am however not going to buy another book for a while (unless it's part of my rare penguin collection that have the traditional coloured covers; they are my true weakness). But seriously my book buying needs to stop.<br />
<br />
I will post a picture of my purchase on Instagram when the box arrives and I really<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"> can't wait to get to see my books. </span><br />
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;"><br /></span>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">This set is something I have wanted for awhile so I don't regret buying into the hype of the day. I hope you all are equally as pleased with your purchases if you have or do make any in the next few days.</span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And if you haven't yet purchased anything; then remember that these sales will go on until at least Cyber Monday if not after so you have plenty of time to get involved. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And if sale shopping in real life makes you stressed, I hope you are ok and can find some relaxing oasises to hide outin until the Christmas sales start. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Have a lovely weekend,</div>
<div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Today is the 22nd November and I am over halfway done with my Christmas shopping! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have just had my glitter smash nails painted by my mum; have been listening to <a href="https://play.spotify.com/album/5msQHy2ZV5LjOdeqbYZl9y" target="_blank">Glee Christmas</a> and <a href="https://play.spotify.com/album/6Mtye5lhYh1JtHenUkIsH6" target="_blank">Christmas Hits</a> albums on Spotify for the last week and am fully embracing this time of year! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But I didn't start shopping until 2 weeks ago when; on a very rainy day may I add; I went to Liberty of London to get my eyebrows done and got swept up in the moment and bought my first three Christmas gifts!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For those of you who want to see them the only one I can show you is my ornament for the tree. This is my gift to my family and is of one of the kittens we have recently started looking after and is soo cute! (Comparison pics below)</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj71MwrLgE9N9KZ3pS6czUL93Vw7dMzF_d94pkCVBFnySAzt2Jq4-ZWGfzwbpgkJtcBeLecinKAdVZjZBkI-PTRLNTcDVgOMxmkmGRKqokMXebRev3b1JTRE6AGnqMixTfkilkaVLLBLkGs/s640/blogger-image-1717843388.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj71MwrLgE9N9KZ3pS6czUL93Vw7dMzF_d94pkCVBFnySAzt2Jq4-ZWGfzwbpgkJtcBeLecinKAdVZjZBkI-PTRLNTcDVgOMxmkmGRKqokMXebRev3b1JTRE6AGnqMixTfkilkaVLLBLkGs/s640/blogger-image-1717843388.jpg" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY3JU-fG7wQ3bLBWeiUpG9KuMAepnFXXOGJ8pqz-fjuOQiU1xFJ0oM7RRqro12s4j5Hm-GbWZmt4yL0S9k2aCRDUJD_aPMKRFQxwrJ0Zl56DpOqtvLqOoKHPupMFv1BiCv_LblK6HYajNc/s640/blogger-image--1892846389.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhY3JU-fG7wQ3bLBWeiUpG9KuMAepnFXXOGJ8pqz-fjuOQiU1xFJ0oM7RRqro12s4j5Hm-GbWZmt4yL0S9k2aCRDUJD_aPMKRFQxwrJ0Zl56DpOqtvLqOoKHPupMFv1BiCv_LblK6HYajNc/s640/blogger-image--1892846389.jpg" /></a></div>
He was about £10 (decoration not the real thing) and if you want to buy a pretty decoration for someone special or of something specific then I recommend Liberty (and I think it has the best Christmas department this year although I can only compare to Selfridges which wasn't as good). </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But this post isn't about what to buy - it's about how to tackle the shops at this time of year! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
My first tip is shop where you want to shop if you are shopping in real life! So I was in Liberty to get my eyebrows done, not to shop, but it was through my own curiosity that I actually found some great gifts for my nearest and dearest. And it meant I was relaxed, happy and I also treated myself too so I could feel like I was joining in!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
As soon as it stopped being fun I went home. And that's the next tip - take breaks for drinks or food and stop when you can't stand it anymore. If you try to do it all on one day - I'm talking to you 24th December shoppers - then every year you'll dread and hate it - but a little bit of early prep and a happy bunny you'll be. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Along the lines of early prep is knowing the person you are buying for really well and then keep your eyes and ears out for stuff they mention they want. I pride myself on trying to get really good gifts for people that I know really well and it means I'm usually planning their presents from mid November or before. It means you have a rough idea of what to get them where and then you don't waste time and energy hunting as time ticks closer to the big day.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you can get what you want online then do that and take the stress and often cost off of your shoulders (just give plenty of time for delivery and do click and collect if you are worried). If you can't then target shop and don't just trawl round the shops - make the day fun for yourself, bringing a best friend usually helps for moral support! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And my last tip is really an extension of the others - take your time and buy within your budget. People tend to find this time of year stressful in just about every way; from cost to strain on families around the Christmas dinner table. But a long run up will allow that to be smoothed somewhat and leave the stress to what you'll watch on the TV and who wins Monopoly. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope you all have a fabulous and safe Christmas/Holiday time and I will post my latest haul next so you can have some ideas of stuff I love that may inspire you. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Luv,</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

I am very simply a 19 year old member of humanity. But I want to write about how I feel.<br>
<br>
Over the past 36 hours, the world has been changed.<br>
<br>
I wasn't very old when 9/11 happened, 7/7 sticks in my mind...in 10 years will 11/13 be just as iconic?<br>
<br>
On Friday, I was feeling rubbish, I went to bed around the time all the news was breaking around the world that Paris was suffering. It took me till Saturday before I heard the full extent of the tragedy. And like most, I was on Facebook looking for news links and seeing that my friends were ok.<br>
<br>
By Saturday lunchtime #PrayforParis was everywhere - you couldn't find a social platform that wasn't supporting them - but then it became clear it wasn't just Paris suffering. Our world is huge - I once had to calculate how much it weighed in Physics (it's a lot but I digress) - there was tragedy happening everywhere, Lebanon, Baghdad, even an earthquake in Japan.<br>
<br>
It was clear that 11/13 had been a terrible day all over the globe.<br>
<br>
In the evening, Facebook did what it does best... social campaigns. The blue, white and red was translucently placed over every profile picture on my news feed. Then the posts reminding everyone that it wasn't just Paris started to ramp up.<br>
<br>
And I had been silent until then - so I started thinking about what I wanted to say.<br>
<br>
At four minutes to eleven pm this is what I wrote:<br>
<div style="color: #141823; line-height: 19.32px; margin-bottom: 6px; text-align: center;">
<i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>"Tonight I am not putting the French flag over my profile picture - I am changing it to a picture of our beautiful planet Earth because I'm not just praying for Paris, I'm praying for everyone who suffers at the hands of the evil that unfortunately lies out there.</b></span></i></div>
<div style="color: #141823; line-height: 19.32px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>This is not a moment to launch a campaign of hatred against one group, or remember one group over another in our prayers or thoughts. This is a time when we must join together and help heal wounds, not deepen them.</b></span></i></div>
<div style="color: #141823; line-height: 19.32px; margin-bottom: 6px; margin-top: 6px; text-align: center;">
<span class="text_exposed_show" style="display: inline;"><i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>Bad things happen daily, and not one is worse than another, but as humanity we are strong and we will triumph over the bad like we always do.</b></span></i></span></div>
<div class="text_exposed_show" style="color: #141823; display: inline; line-height: 19.32px;">
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px; text-align: center;">
<i><span style="font-family: inherit;"><b>To everyone hurting out there, I'm thinking of you and send my deepest condolences. And to those who want to do something in reaction - spread love, not hate."</b></span></i></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
And I wrote this to remind everyone that terrible things happen every day on Earth. It doesn't matter if it is a Western city or a small town in the East. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
The world has been in my thoughts for the past 48 hours. Not just Paris. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
Also I am not going to play the blame game. That is not going to help. We do not need another "Night of Broken Glass". We need to bring the world together and heal. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
To those who want revenge - there is law for that. I am sure that the governments of the world are working on it. Whatever opinion you have on the strength of the laws, mob mentality won't help those who have perished. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
One of my favourite plays is A View from the Bridge by Arthur Miller. In it Eddie doesn't believe in the justice of the law and his choice of vengeance over legal justice leaves him the worst state of all. Alfieri, the lawyer describes that trusting in justice to prevail <span style="line-height: 19.32px;">instead of killing to avenge</span><span style="line-height: 19.32px;"> </span><span style="line-height: 19.32px;">as "settling for half" and that he "like(s) it better" - and I do to. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
The people we have lost will not gain anything by us turning on each other now. In fact, us fracturing makes the divides big enough so that the people who want to break us can do so easier. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<br>
And humanity is amazingly strong. We have tackled ice ages and predators to reach the top of the food chain Unfortunately, there is bad amongst us that we cannot control. But we will get through this like we always have. </div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<span style="line-height: 19.32px;"><br>
</span> <span style="line-height: 19.32px;">I reeled off a few dates at the start as examples of this. Nobody stopped getting on planes after 9/11, Londoners went back on the tube after 7/7, and I am sure people will eat at restaurants, carry on living their lives and watch football in stadiums long after the events of this Friday have passed. </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
<span style="line-height: 19.32px;"><br>
</span> <span style="line-height: 19.32px;">And if you, like me, want to act then t</span><span style="line-height: 19.32px;">here are a few things we can do to make a difference: </span></div>
<div style="margin-bottom: 6px;">
</div>
<ul style="color: #141823;">
<li><span style="line-height: 19.32px;">Spread love and calm in the face of panic and pain. Be the force of good in your community and within you social sphere</span></li>
<li><span style="line-height: 19.32px;">Remember everyone's pain and don't isolate one group over another. If you are praying or thinking for anyone; do it for everyone</span></li>
<li><span style="line-height: 19.32px;">Muslims don't feel like you have to apologise for anything, you are not to blame here. If a woman kills her husband, I don't have to apologise for being a woman. </span><span style="line-height: 19.32px;">And people looking to blame someone - blame the individuals who can take someone's life in cold blood, don't tar everyone with the same brush just because you can</span></li>
</ul>
<div style="color: #141823;">
I wanted to be succinct so I will stop here. </div>
<div style="color: #141823;">
<br></div>
<div style="color: #141823;">
<span style="line-height: 19.32px;">So this is me signing off, knowing that humanity is beautiful and we are strong, and sending my deepest condolences to anyone who has lost anyone.</span> And I hope with these words someone will find comfort and strength to do good in the face of this world which seems very bad and scary right now. </div>
<div style="color: #141823;">
<br></div>
<div style="color: #141823;">
Lots of love, </div>
<div style="color: #141823;">
<br></div>
<div style="color: #141823;">
Amber </div>
<div style="color: #141823;">

<br />
I love taking photo's and so over the past week I have been snapping my way around the city I love.<br />
<br />
It is as simple as that really, so here is my week in the City! If you want to see another of these please let me know and I will do more in the future.<br />
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIjZo5uQYoi42Q63vnI9c9y8d4aeKhyphenhyphenYMlUAL_yDGOl30CXtpA2oixyNXVygK1a6skKqVyyPIUrO-TMmd_bTzcU_pwmLfPwUcHYvqzectGuJyDPKb49BhiKcbngDAUpsfbUwIDhKwiCBvH/s1600/2015-10-26+17.21.55.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiIjZo5uQYoi42Q63vnI9c9y8d4aeKhyphenhyphenYMlUAL_yDGOl30CXtpA2oixyNXVygK1a6skKqVyyPIUrO-TMmd_bTzcU_pwmLfPwUcHYvqzectGuJyDPKb49BhiKcbngDAUpsfbUwIDhKwiCBvH/s320/2015-10-26+17.21.55.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It all started on Monday when I walked along the river to Somerset House at dusk,</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpAyUAM_GHByB1-Gm6AROgPxrbsbOSOk6UWp2J3QzmRi0HjvkLzdwAWNXLNJ2ehRt7LhUzHm6Z7cyAk5o3vij8B4Wgu7ApuJ7zLDkz0UjxUhHHAK7nUsgVdu5A3E2usltgfnZmpqPwGCNq/s1600/2015-10-27+10.57.27.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgpAyUAM_GHByB1-Gm6AROgPxrbsbOSOk6UWp2J3QzmRi0HjvkLzdwAWNXLNJ2ehRt7LhUzHm6Z7cyAk5o3vij8B4Wgu7ApuJ7zLDkz0UjxUhHHAK7nUsgVdu5A3E2usltgfnZmpqPwGCNq/s320/2015-10-27+10.57.27.jpg" width="260" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Then after an interview on Tuesday I admired this beautiful architecture on Wigmore Street, near Harley Street, </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1gH0VPHgsNmzi6n67qQS51YgCJ1U_36XAlH3LCDPhgARjeERXBvwXhGemmO8thdjCSBesR5jDEe6vRd_hzmCESidrvbFzro50RwIZpmjCWDoug3dXlAU8GZDgqNwBrd8fWOAQmcO_D1bG/s1600/2015-10-27+16.40.34.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi1gH0VPHgsNmzi6n67qQS51YgCJ1U_36XAlH3LCDPhgARjeERXBvwXhGemmO8thdjCSBesR5jDEe6vRd_hzmCESidrvbFzro50RwIZpmjCWDoug3dXlAU8GZDgqNwBrd8fWOAQmcO_D1bG/s320/2015-10-27+16.40.34.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
And on Wednesday whilst en route to meet a friend, I was struck by this amazing office block on Southampton Row, Bloomsbury,</div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0k6QT12dw8H2qNXmPluUKChNEpFj04xu5DuCoxhx081ojDj5jl7WhkmT_EfWEhygZnrZMLOXR9mFQxy3xbZGcnmNPX5thKnlcQXqkFh7tXQbgCL_DZoRV82iV9xX2rBNpdR1cvmabvFps/s1600/2015-10-28+10.24.37.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg0k6QT12dw8H2qNXmPluUKChNEpFj04xu5DuCoxhx081ojDj5jl7WhkmT_EfWEhygZnrZMLOXR9mFQxy3xbZGcnmNPX5thKnlcQXqkFh7tXQbgCL_DZoRV82iV9xX2rBNpdR1cvmabvFps/s320/2015-10-28+10.24.37.jpg" width="240" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
To the towering Queen Elizabeth Tower and of course Big Ben on Wednesday,</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
One of my earliest memories is my mum playing her guitar and singing Me and Mrs Jones which is where this lyric comes from and it also happens to be the colour pallette that I want to wear all the time at the moment.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Now I just realised I didn't do a post on my birthday presents so you won't know that I got a gorgeous, perfect, lovely (I can continue but I won't) Kate Spade handbag from my parents and it's black and beautiful and I use it everyday for work. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
But this wasn't the start.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have always loved grey and as a very pale person it doesn't wash me out like harsh black can so I tend to prefer to wear grey closer to my face and black on my bottoms. Some of my favourite clothes are grey including my beloved amnesty hoody which I think is my favourite shade of grey (pardon the pun).</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So to blue... Blue is a very emotive colour for me. Yes it is typically a sad colour but it also brings me pure happiness; especially in the lighter shades and washes. I also spend a huge proportion of my life in jeans and denim. There is something about a good denim wash that just makes me smile and feel happy wearing them. (If you saw my series on trying to find the perfect jeans then you know how seriously I take it - it's linked <a href="http://diaryofalondonteenagefashionista.blogspot.co.uk/2014/09/the-hunt-for-perfect-jeans.html" target="_blank">here</a>.) </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And well with all rules one has to be broken and yes it's red. Red is not really my colour in it's pure form - apart from my Chanel lipstick which with very neutral face make up is perfect and tres chic! But I'm stretching red to include it's little sister pink because I love pink from baby to coral (I'm also stretching to orange pink I guess here - but it's all one family). I just bought this bright pink dress which I can't wait to rock in winter and banish the chill away! And my favourite winter coat is my pink ones! I also just bought a green parka (post coming soon) and pink compliments green very well I think so it's just super in my eyes!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So that's me in four colours - and now I'm humming that song too...</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Lots of love,</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

<br />
For those who have been around these parts since the beginning, you will remember my first ever post, which I wrote after going to the V&A and seeing the fashion collection which was so inspiring to me that I decided to write. That was back in 2010.<br />
<br />
Now five years later I am a member of the V&A and today I went there after work for an explore of a place I consider my second home. I can't really explain why I love it so much, it is just a place of wonderment - like an old curiosity shop for those of us who love the arts. For example, today I stood in front of a Raphael and couldn't quite catch my breath at the beauty of it. And the same goes for the tiny diamond broach made to look like a basket of flowers in the jewellery room that is one of my favourite places in the whole museum.<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg614mYW__rKiZIE1hsvIfTx2KdYJXSMWW0sbfFCNDVfKvpWIGCZGw8-kbikzRXJG1cwvJNtajB3BVc9Z8T0dGuw2WRrNTq1hYRVJV5s7eV1zNqGqXVyeNuDWA4pAloN0vbUF1h4jz5Mj_n/s1600/V%2526A%25282%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg614mYW__rKiZIE1hsvIfTx2KdYJXSMWW0sbfFCNDVfKvpWIGCZGw8-kbikzRXJG1cwvJNtajB3BVc9Z8T0dGuw2WRrNTq1hYRVJV5s7eV1zNqGqXVyeNuDWA4pAloN0vbUF1h4jz5Mj_n/s320/V%2526A%25282%2529.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
And it is a special place. Earlier in the month I was also lucky enough to see Savage Beauty, on the last day of the exhibition and I was so happy to see the best curated selection of work from a man that inspires me so much and that fashion sorely misses. I will write about it in more detail soon, as I still can't believe that I got to see Lee's final collection with my own eyes. I really hope that it comes back to the UK sometime in the future and I can take my children, and they will learn why talent that shines that brightly, should be cherished and immortalised forever.<br />
<br />
So if you visit London, go to the V&A, the bookshop is awesome, you can have cake in the gardens surrounded by one of the most stunning buildings in the city and you'll see things that take some believing.<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgpHGxXSCF1f1C_id0gQlKzdL-ASPQ6n7u4J4hysDNTd4tkxKpUOSfdt9qwzDZnJRNoqCQsxMmAZB7e9c36iU9FIRxagFN76gAoByQj7N3EVR4FKW7H-0w3BW3SkJcF1wY7QZSWlTgvTON/s1600/V%2526A.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhgpHGxXSCF1f1C_id0gQlKzdL-ASPQ6n7u4J4hysDNTd4tkxKpUOSfdt9qwzDZnJRNoqCQsxMmAZB7e9c36iU9FIRxagFN76gAoByQj7N3EVR4FKW7H-0w3BW3SkJcF1wY7QZSWlTgvTON/s320/V%2526A.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<br />
And if I ever need some inspiration, I know I will find it in that palace of joy, and that really is why going back there is like going home...<br />
<br />
Love,<br />

I have learnt so much of late, as I grow out of teenage hood (slowly... I'm still under twenty for another year). So I want to start posting to you, my fashionable followers, about how my style is evolving now that I am changing again; queue more workwear but I will always remain true to my personal style. </div><div><br></div><div>Oh and don't worry, my blog name won't change when I hit twenty, because the best bit about age is it is just a number...</div><div><br></div><div>Lots of love,</div><div><br></div><div>Amber xx</div>Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08302626904040919984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7555892195337389302.post-36693485347801067392015-04-15T20:42:00.001+01:002017-11-18T21:54:44.131+00:00Summer of 69Hey all,<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am listening to Summer of '69 by Bryan Adams and it is not only the best summer song in my opinion, but also a fairly good summary of fashion at the moment. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Look around the high street and you'll be bombarded with 60's or 70's prints, gypsy tops and bohemian fringing. Some may say it's like the hippy generation has thrown it's confetti all over the clothes we will wear. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I myself today am rocking a linen dress in a vintage yellow floral print and feel fabulous, it's one of those outfits that just makes you smile when you wear it. And the sun is out, it's due to be the hottest day in London Town and I have my sunglasses on! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: "helvetica neue light" , , "helvetica" , "arial" , sans-serif;">My make-up I have kept quite plain; a gold shimmery eye look and I am wearing my Benefit Life on the A-List lipgloss which I love and it's just so easy to wear! (This gloss is not available anymore but it's a baby pink very light gloss that is surprisingly not too sticky, it has decent pigmentation too) </span></div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Here is too the good time vibes, and I look forward to seeing an end to monochrome for a bit! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Lots of sunny love,</div>
<div>
<br /></div>

But it is so much more than that! </div><div><br></div><div>Colour and style play such a huge part in men's fashion, and yes a black tuxedo is classic and effective, but so is a LBD for women and the best looks come when you break the mould. </div><div><br></div><div>Jared Leto has always pushed it - and just look at him, his ombré hair makes him stand out from the crowd anyway, so an avante garde suit is no surprise. And even those who just opt for a wine colour over a black, show that pushing the edge can be subtle yet highly effective when done well. </div><div><br></div><div>But let's leave suits for a moment; jeans are a uniform for men and a good pair work wonders. There are just as many styles as women have - they borrowed our skinny style when we took their beloved baggy style and made it "boyfriend". </div><div><br></div><div>And jeans can be dressed up and down just as much for men as women. In fact even the most casual pair can be dressed in a jacket with a pocket square and boat shoes and Monaco is calling! </div><div><br></div><div>Then there is more sporty teritories. Sports Luxe has been a male trend before women's fashion caught on. That I went to the gym and then I went to te club look is one many guys can pull of - just beware of the huge branding as it can overshadow the look (that goes for girls too - the matching tracksuits are a no in my personal opinion but each to their own). </div><div><br></div><div>Lastly is the more seasonal fashions, shorts, jumpers, vests, the beanie; the list is vast. And they all work in their own ways. </div><div><br></div><div>So here is to men's fashion - and if fashion week is anything to go by perhaps it's more about what you don't wear than what you do (if you saw Rick Owens Paris show in January you'll know what I mean). </div><div><br></div><div>Hope you are all well, I am nearly at 30,000 page views which is a bit hard to take in but I am proud that all you are still reading and enjoying these snippets into my mind. </div><div><br></div><div>I have also linked at the top of this page the Amnesty blog post I wrote on the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which if you would like to read then please do and you'll learn more about me the activist. </div><div><br></div><div>Love,</div><div><br></div><div>Amber xx</div><div><br></div><div><br></div>Amberhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08302626904040919984noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7555892195337389302.post-12060709544389969612015-02-20T09:51:00.001+00:002015-04-10T15:59:06.161+01:00A new uniform for a new life!Dear all,<br>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
I left school in June and haven't had to wear a uniform since then - it's the best! </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
But there are certain things in my wardrobe I reach for every day without fail (95% of the time at least):</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
*My bright pink swing coat - this has revolutionised my wardrobe. I actually bought it in 2013 but I didn't wear it till last year when I was rebelling against the end of winter and wanted to carry on wearing my favourite colour! And there hasn't been many days since when I picked another coat instead. It has a huge hood which makes me look like a Jedi or Sith (depending on my mood lol) and it's warm without being baking so I can wear it without overheating on the tube. It's just all kinds of awesome. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
*My beloved black biker boots - these look well loved and well worn because they are. I have worn these so much since I bought them it is hard to get me in anything else. I wear them to work, clubbing and everything inbetween. They squeak when I walk as they are like 2 years old. They are my perfect shoe and I feel like a trendy Lara Croft in them. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
*Jeans - that old chestnut. I'm not going to spend too long talking about jeans and why I love them. But I prefer straight jeans over skinny jeans and I own a range of colours that only is missing a few perfect editions. I am working on it. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
So that is my basic uniform - I change it up with kimonos and long sleeve tees or jumpers if I'm freezing. And jewellery works magic for changing a plain outfit into an evening look. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
Will check in soon with a beauty post as I have been testing some things to help with dry skin in winter and have had varying results. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
Speak soon,</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
Luv Amber xx</div>

<div>
<br></div>
<div>
So I haven't really used this blog as much of a diary before so I thought I would start now! Lol! </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
I have been thinking about myself a lot recently and I've found a list of things about myself that I hadn't really realised until this year. Here we go:</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
1. I love standing in sunlight or under a starry sky. That blinding brilliance of the sun is one of the most inspiring things ever and it also makes sense as bright but chilly days are probably my favourite. And I love stars because they remind me that we are all made of star-dust and that we are very small crucial part of a big busy universe.</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
2. I can make myself look really different if I take my glasses off and/or change my hair. I'm wore my hair down and contacts recently and although I know who I am I feel like I look really different. I don't know maybe that's just a personal one. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
3. Even though high heels are very much everyone else's thing, I am more at home in a pair of boots. My black beloved ones, despite them squeaking, are my favourite shoes and I wear them all the time. I suppose you can still hear me coming though :) </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
4. I am an annoying perfectionist. I check everything about ten times before I put it out there. And then I worry about how it will go. It annoys me but at the same time it is a good thing I guess.</div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
5. I am an activist and I always have been. I work as a volunteer with Amnesty so most of you will be thinking well of course you are - but I have realised that it was always in me just waiting for me to channel it. I think that is why I was drawn to human rights law as a career, it unlocked that part of me. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
6. For the book lovers - I have noticed I am drawn to a book and then I just have to read it or it will annoy me. The prime example is Anna Karenina: it's 1000 pages and I got to page 100 and stopped because I was confused and had to study my English Lit A Level texts. However, I will have to read it eventually, because if I don't I will be forever annoyed. Crazy I know. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
7. I am not actually afraid of spiders. I don't like thinking of them or seeing them before I sleep or I get nightmares. So as long as I don't watch a show/movie with them in before I go to bed, I will quite happily let them live in my house. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
8. I have really great hair. I know that seems like a selfish thing to write but everytime it annoys me by going frizzy or not doing what I want, I remember the way it seems to sparkle in the sunlight and that most people would love my hair. So I realised I need to remember that in future. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
That's a bit more about me that I don't think you've heard before. </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
I will be back on this blog soon I hope, and I am going to start signing off as Amber instead of London Teenage Fashionista as I think it's more me... </div>
<div>
<br></div>
<div>
So lots of love guys,</div>

Not New Years Resolutions!Welcome all to a fresh start here on the blog!<br />
<br />
With the changes I went through in my life last year, I really wanted to start again with this blog, so I've done some decorating (hope you like the new look) and I wanted to launch again on a Sunday so I am looking ahead to a new week and a new year simultaneously.<br />
<br />
This post will be duplicated on this blog sister Dear Aphrodite, as I think it spans the two but if you haven't checked out my other blog - please feel free to click the link in the bar above.<br />
<br />
So to the root of this post which is about my Annual Happiness Tips 2015.<br />
<br />
My big problem, and I think most people's problem, with New Years Resolutions (NYRS from now on in this post) is that everyone tries to make them, but tends to break them within the year, some don't even see out January.<br />
<br />
Resolution in the <a href="http://www.oxforddictionaries.com/definition/english/resolution" target="_blank">Oxford English Dictionary</a> is "A firm decision to do or not to do something", so by making and then breaking a resolution, you nullify the term in its entirety. Most people seem to make NYRS that are frankly untenable in their daily lives and then curse the tradition when they break/fail to meet their decisions made on January 1st. I always find myself saying I will never eat chocolate again, then diving into the leftover box of Celebrations; or that I will blog three times a week and then you don't hear from me for months. It is as if the tradition has become a joke in modern day life, so enter my Annual Happiness Tips.<br />
<br />
Annual Happiness Tips are my version of NYRS as they are simple suggestions that I want to make every year to make myself happier, but and most importantly of all, they are only tips, they can be ignored, broken, interpreted etc. anyway I like. So no more pressure, hassle or guilt, basically my idea of perfection.<br />
<br />
This year I have made four tips to enhance my life in 2015 and I have written these in my journal and will share them with you all now:<br />
<br />
<ol>
<li>Be healthy but don't make myself crazy with worrying or feeling guilty when I am simply enjoying my life!</li>
<li>Be happy for what I have in life and remember that everyday (but at the same time it is ok to be sad every now and again - just not more often than I am happy). </li>
<li>Be more creative more often; blog, do more photography, spend more time colouring and do more Lego building! </li>
<li>Do something amazing every month; from seeing friends to travelling or just having an excellent experience at home with my family. </li>
</ol>
<div>
If you hate making NYRS like I do, I hope that Annual Happiness Tips will make life better and take the pressure off at this time of the year,</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Happy 2015 everyone, I hope you had a lovely festive season and are looking forward to a brilliant new year!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Lots of luv,</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
If you read my personal blog Dear Aphrodite, then you would see I wrote about how I am an acivist volunteer for Amnesty International and you'll see in the tags for this blog that I am a huge Chanel fan. It stands, therefore, that when I saw the recent Chanel show was a hybrid between fashion and activism, it safe to say I had to check it out. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Although I loved the idea, ultimately I feel let down that the campaigning wasn't genuine. When I saw the signs were "Tweed is Better than Tweet", I did fell a bit like "Say What?". However with a further look I guess there was feminist/girl power undertones in the signage, which is a very current cause with the HeForShe campaign being launched recently at the UN. I guess it just wasn't what I was expecting from the initial headlines. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
For all the showmanship any fashionista would expect from Chanel, the "Boulevard Chanel" was no let down. The tonnes of looks varied from bright splashes of colour and tweed to very work-able colour and style of the suit-wear, meant that which completed the show became a complete wardrobe. I also really loved the gold sandals - but regular readers of this blog know that I love them.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have linked below where you can view the looks from the runway, including the final walk with Mr Lagerfield leading his campaign catwalk down the road - but will this lead to a new dawn in the relationship between cause and clothes? I honestly am interested to see where this leads!</div>

Anyway, it's back to beauty and I am going to a very awesome awards evening soon so I will try a look out and post it for you all,</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I have a few products in my make up bag that have been around since I started getting into make up properly and have stuck with me all this time! (Don't worry nothing here has gone off or is gross!) And as this is beauty post time I thought I would show you!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWDSjT2mqvtpOgLKT_RUdmxg5l5zj5XufSfovEP_z2mQU46VGzxcZ2wmQLJreOamEmS7l8E1U7b672SjClfqfU57ctyPPTQaVrbp5Xut8wpEFpMG-Nm3wqpO5S6kAo3ut3PizHsx_nqT2W/s640/blogger-image--116070567.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWDSjT2mqvtpOgLKT_RUdmxg5l5zj5XufSfovEP_z2mQU46VGzxcZ2wmQLJreOamEmS7l8E1U7b672SjClfqfU57ctyPPTQaVrbp5Xut8wpEFpMG-Nm3wqpO5S6kAo3ut3PizHsx_nqT2W/s400/blogger-image--116070567.jpg" width="300" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
So this is the overall kit and starting from the top; Next Eyeshadow palette (I don't think you can still get this but I will find a similar one and link it <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Barry-M-Eye-Shadow-and-Highlighter-Palette-Limited-Edition-Summer-Love_1450688/?cm_mmc=pla-_-google-_-PLAs-_-Boots+Shopping+-+All+Products" target="_blank">here</a>), Benefit Dandelion Blush, Dior 5 Colours Eyeshadow palette in 030 Incognito, Bobbi Brown High Shimmer Lip Gloss in Pink Tulle, Rouge Dior in 365 Pink Songe, Rouge Coco Shine in 55 Romance and finally Lancôme Juicy Tube in Toffee R&B (I think it's been discontinued but you can get similar shades <a href="http://www.boots.com/en/Lancome-Juicy-Tubes-Delicious-Lip-Gloss_40849/" target="_blank">here</a>). </div>
<div>
<div style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW6Muw50wg2CzsGvox4XEAsBlIveDDCvJHe-xGxlphcUhFiu9WAuBxbOHOJjczyo4o0mKMGX1Jl35LorMqaqaQv5-S6O_M1z2auT7-qBJ1fmjyYb8kiPIJ86l8-eQtYIY6UN_pBLozWAjY/s640/blogger-image--810929429.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="161" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiW6Muw50wg2CzsGvox4XEAsBlIveDDCvJHe-xGxlphcUhFiu9WAuBxbOHOJjczyo4o0mKMGX1Jl35LorMqaqaQv5-S6O_M1z2auT7-qBJ1fmjyYb8kiPIJ86l8-eQtYIY6UN_pBLozWAjY/s320/blogger-image--810929429.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This Next palette has been a long term friend of mine. It has six shimmery shades that are softer than glitter but just as dusty. I love them all and have used the to lighten smokey looks as I am very pale and occasionally a full on look is a bit too heavy, so the shimmer adds a bit of me too the look.</div>
<div style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq6hAwN763UsJgJm7pFVnrn-4F72rTD4b2eU2xc-ebnOn2JpuSQiynLo7d-jhebIHjhtSw6Cq8SPEPF1lspPV1L1k7Ln358UgFFVPiYdGkxHDrrS15l0-MDpLlSEhmvy5f99VBj8qwQj7g/s640/blogger-image-108613794.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="191" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgq6hAwN763UsJgJm7pFVnrn-4F72rTD4b2eU2xc-ebnOn2JpuSQiynLo7d-jhebIHjhtSw6Cq8SPEPF1lspPV1L1k7Ln358UgFFVPiYdGkxHDrrS15l0-MDpLlSEhmvy5f99VBj8qwQj7g/s320/blogger-image-108613794.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This Benefit Dandelion blush just keeps going, I use it fairly regularly although I am quiet pink toned anyway and have been turning to it's sister Coralista for the summer months as it has browney tones which double as a bronzer. However the cool pink is my perfect natural blush shade and I love it so much for barely there make up looks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1UbbyW7iPPL0NyjXUfXro879QZUmdvxdMqbf7K7TXriKRrQ0Bug0JF1rYNVXjwvsSGjKvYLfVisEUCjnk4gpjWT6F5MOZMypQ2mOlUmrxOfKOe_ZwuA4L087s6Jc4d62ZPMYFgjuskY_/s640/blogger-image--274627494.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEha1UbbyW7iPPL0NyjXUfXro879QZUmdvxdMqbf7K7TXriKRrQ0Bug0JF1rYNVXjwvsSGjKvYLfVisEUCjnk4gpjWT6F5MOZMypQ2mOlUmrxOfKOe_ZwuA4L087s6Jc4d62ZPMYFgjuskY_/s320/blogger-image--274627494.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In contrast to the shimmer palette I showed above, this Dior one is like the elegant older sister. The shades are all matte and the pink and the yellow are the definition of barely-there colour, if I blend the two they are essentially my skin type. The white, grey and brown are perfect blending shades and very useful for more neural looks. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtpX1HZKBuc-ygHoE_15HKqJppXRAwfd7LKlSrKqs2ts4yu-8DwTSvbHXT6skNCGiXN5pxPZpVs2yvROIiXGgGB5xkPoppuxQZiUNfqnnMwkJ8qxBIv69INQ7W4FTGeHXl8WuaRMkcBBLX/s640/blogger-image-1192599222.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhtpX1HZKBuc-ygHoE_15HKqJppXRAwfd7LKlSrKqs2ts4yu-8DwTSvbHXT6skNCGiXN5pxPZpVs2yvROIiXGgGB5xkPoppuxQZiUNfqnnMwkJ8qxBIv69INQ7W4FTGeHXl8WuaRMkcBBLX/s320/blogger-image-1192599222.jpg" width="93" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is one of my favourite lip glosses and the minty taste is simply divine. It is highly sparkly but not as sticky as some other glosses I've tried. I love it as it adds definition to any lipstick I put under it.</div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiARMwDK6IialWP0o9VvqbuRrGh60pOPVSdzR46zizDI8TCGGZ3vhHpJVAtOQ8PVZOAzSm108tfHrPc71Feb6__YhMMZSL1WFfIevNS25Q4VxvTOAPS22NIVosunUDRRMbmvd8IjFS2ZGrX/s640/blogger-image--386369087.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiARMwDK6IialWP0o9VvqbuRrGh60pOPVSdzR46zizDI8TCGGZ3vhHpJVAtOQ8PVZOAzSm108tfHrPc71Feb6__YhMMZSL1WFfIevNS25Q4VxvTOAPS22NIVosunUDRRMbmvd8IjFS2ZGrX/s320/blogger-image--386369087.jpg" width="132" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This is the first "posh" lipstick I ever bought. I saved up and went with my mum to the local Dior counter in Boots, and tried on loads of different colours. This one, Pink Songe, was the perfect colour for me and I love wearing it with a smoked eye (I wear a steel or a dark navy Kiko eyeshadow stick; smoked from the eye line and a natural base). </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYyM6oqE66u4vV6Jv6AMUjacXEeh8iIegTX33PKqaGOKaEO7CE2PIVRC0wqsH7FiP2ssodBTPEAJUtY3tcam1hcX4lUXrJpjVD3hO1eu-Av1OxsPnp6as-6IiRfs8Rnrx6pPGoedlkvywM/s640/blogger-image-1946243377.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhYyM6oqE66u4vV6Jv6AMUjacXEeh8iIegTX33PKqaGOKaEO7CE2PIVRC0wqsH7FiP2ssodBTPEAJUtY3tcam1hcX4lUXrJpjVD3hO1eu-Av1OxsPnp6as-6IiRfs8Rnrx6pPGoedlkvywM/s320/blogger-image-1946243377.jpg" width="148" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
It's a natural progression from one fab posh lippy to another - and this is just that. I had been testing these on the back of my hand whenever I walked past a Chanel counter and in two airports when I finally caved and bought a colour I could not put down (and I had leftover Euros). These lip sticks are sheerer than most but they have a lovely sheen which makes it more than a simple colour. It's easily wearable and more moisturising than some lipsticks I've tried. </div>
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVdsu92HNFFB-jRsyU5_d4p5eP6Pc7g722AdUlIdZxwzY4zACE10xklg32QXZVEqxs90evbh4bu8EUk6rTjoArhXBotnTO9QugQ-jYY0tTNNbito8oQR4OLl9d2B3V9C1o7lxxQ62DH4QG/s640/blogger-image--1174276475.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgVdsu92HNFFB-jRsyU5_d4p5eP6Pc7g722AdUlIdZxwzY4zACE10xklg32QXZVEqxs90evbh4bu8EUk6rTjoArhXBotnTO9QugQ-jYY0tTNNbito8oQR4OLl9d2B3V9C1o7lxxQ62DH4QG/s320/blogger-image--1174276475.jpg" width="186" /></a></div>
<div style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
Last but not least, is my favourite flavour lip gloss of all, it's toffee-tastic! The formula is slightly sticky compared to the Bobbi Brown but these are considered legendary and all the flavours I've tried have been excellent. The gold glitter is a great addition to a look by itself if you don't want to have lipstick on. This mini was part of a gift and it has stood the test of time!</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
So this was some of the staples of my make up collection, I hope you enjoyed snooping in my make up bag! </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
I will be back with my Chanel post next week!</div>

<br />
So I have had my instagram and twitter glue to all of the fashion week shows and I will have a post on the Chanel show soon but first I wanted to talk about Moschino. <br />
<br />
I have been a fan of their quirkiness for a long time, and my favourite colour is pink, so naturally the Barbie themed S/S '15 show caught my eye.<span style="text-align: center;"> </span><br />
<div>
<br />
I loved the idea of the show. Models all over the fashion catwalks are dressed up and moulded into the looks of the designers dreams; so it seems logical that the ultimate dress up doll Barbie, would be what the models were turned into. It seemed surreal yet so perfect.<br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
And my was it done well. There was no doubt who the models were, and the clothes bought the girly nature of Barbie to high fashion, a refreshing break from the ultra-masculine, sometimes even vampish dark looks that high fashion has been known to love. </div>
<br />
<div>
They new line has gone down very well, with net-a-porter selling out of some of the piece only a few hours after the show. I guess the high street will go a fab shade of pink next spring/summer! </div>
<br />
<div>
And finally, I loved the irony of Moschino. I aluded to the Mc Donald's themed collection which I loved, as fast food seems like the antithesis to high fashion where the models are always ultra thin and with the Barbie collection, it seems to have gone the other way, as some see models anyway as the embodiments of the iconic dolls. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I therefore ask where will Jeremy Scott take it next? Salad-chic? Smurf-style? Personally, I can't wait because I know it will be done to the best and in the most stylish way possible. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Lots of luv,</div>

everyone, </span><o:p></o:p><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;">So
my skin regime has been working really well on the whole recently (if you
want to see the current post click </span><a href="http://diaryofalondonteenagefashionista.blogspot.co.uk/2014/07/super-skin-saviour-tea-tree-truth.html" target="_blank"><span style="color: blue; font-family: inherit;">here</span></a><span style="font-family: inherit; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;">), but I
noticed that tee tree alone was not strong enough to really get shot of my
spots. So about two weeks ago I decided to pick up the Superdrug
Deep Action anti-blemish gel which it claims has the maximum concentration of
salicylic acid allowed, and based on the results I have seen so far, I'm
impressed and a proper review will come after a months use. </span><o:p></o:p><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;">Also
I've been loving some lip products. First are two lip balms, one is the Lip
Service from Lush which is very healing and good if you have dry or chaffed
lips. It is very solid when you get a new tin but it soon melts with body
heat and becomes a perfect consistency, which when applied to the lips is just
perfect. It is very neutrally tasting so perfect if you have a favourite
flavour gloss to go over the top as it won't ruin it. </span><o:p></o:p><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;">But
then my tin of Lip Service, which had been outlasting everything in my make up
bag, got used up and so I bought my second lip product, which was the Nivea
Essential Care lip balm. This is an old classic but personally I used to hate
the taste of the balm, which I know is only minor to how well it works, but on
trying for the past days I've learnt to really love it and it's healing
properties are better than any of my other Chapsticks, so for now I am choosing
nourishment, especially in this colder weather where my lips dry out a lot. </span><o:p></o:p><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">
</span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit; mso-bidi-font-family: Helvetica;">So
finally to a face mask. I love doing a weekly mask and I previously was using
the Tea Tree on from The Body Shop, but I had loads of Lush pots cluttering up
my room so I exchanged 5 of them for my ultimate mask Catastrophe Cosmetic. It
is blueberry based and smells divine as well as containing calming calamine
which is very great at bringing down redness if you are having a bad skin day.
The mask dries nicely but as it has so many healing and soothing ingredients it
doesn't actually dry out your skin and is perfect in my opinion!</span><br />

<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
<span style="font-family: inherit;">It is rather ironic that I am writing this post as I am watching Strictly Come Dancing,which is by far the most sparkly TV show ever, and I am talking about my new love - embellished tops. Not only are they the perfect evening outfit but they also often don't require jewellery as they come with essentially a necklace attached.</span><br />
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: left;">
<span style="font-family: inherit; font-size: small;">So I hope you all feel slightly sparkly now, Strictly was interesting tonight but I can see a few who are doing well straight out of the gate .</span><br />

<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">My beauty reviews are coming soon but as I am still testing the products, I wanted to post a review of my favourite nail polish of the moment, instead. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br /></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">The polish in question is the Kiko Nail Lacquer in Shade 303 Beige Chrome (currently £3.90) not only is it inexpensive but it is a great colour that suits all outfits. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">One coat is good enough for a sparkly top coat action as it is can be applied slightly sheerer with a think swipe of the nails, but two coats are recommended for the fullest colour. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9nwaPOWu8yVzE4aTsS_nCH2djnafUC96WkTZ-RKSMPUflWoTCKSBeX-HTG8j1QrwT4_RRYYgpr7-WTpNB9G7K3KUB_nvT90BXk-t9yv3x1CIb6CRy3LpQ4YrpZs2Ht4ocHUdNebe5XFwX/s640/blogger-image-1068725957.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9nwaPOWu8yVzE4aTsS_nCH2djnafUC96WkTZ-RKSMPUflWoTCKSBeX-HTG8j1QrwT4_RRYYgpr7-WTpNB9G7K3KUB_nvT90BXk-t9yv3x1CIb6CRy3LpQ4YrpZs2Ht4ocHUdNebe5XFwX/s640/blogger-image-1068725957.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I then also apply a top coat. The one I have is the Sally Hansen Mega Shine which just causes the sparkle to, well, shine and helps the polish last. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFZRBpPjNcZ5FOjnzoH8MlgjbCTJqpLrPBAKqWEj9x38yaNUAvQ_PXSfgw45LOwCL-gM6KV0bwSXh-wPts6xpSWn7-wsRlTFTzkbBTFIdAwo-9AHjhd-5BU2JEcb2EKilX9fZwXSEbx0Dd/s640/blogger-image-585571148.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiFZRBpPjNcZ5FOjnzoH8MlgjbCTJqpLrPBAKqWEj9x38yaNUAvQ_PXSfgw45LOwCL-gM6KV0bwSXh-wPts6xpSWn7-wsRlTFTzkbBTFIdAwo-9AHjhd-5BU2JEcb2EKilX9fZwXSEbx0Dd/s640/blogger-image-585571148.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<br /><span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I find the polish lasts 4/5 days depending on what you do. Which is great considering it's price! The brush is fairly wide for easy application and it's by far the best polish to apply by yourself. </span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG6S4_U2V_O3SaREigxhpFTbFY07065CNue2qR3mkU0uxI-Sue5EfEQfUHJnGT6dHVWbEGEU_cK_f609fsphBRmD2iLVoITjnvJu1gjX2z9TnIWErIY8guQQ2HCvMYrZcMpImUo30FQD8D/s640/blogger-image--184813950.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><span style="font-family: inherit;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiG6S4_U2V_O3SaREigxhpFTbFY07065CNue2qR3mkU0uxI-Sue5EfEQfUHJnGT6dHVWbEGEU_cK_f609fsphBRmD2iLVoITjnvJu1gjX2z9TnIWErIY8guQQ2HCvMYrZcMpImUo30FQD8D/s640/blogger-image--184813950.jpg" /></span></a></div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"></span><br />
</div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">I would recommend Kiko to anyone as I love there other beauty products too!</span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;"><br /></span></div>
<div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">Anyway speak soon,</span></div>

<br />
I know I was a bit belated with my birthday blog and this is a similar scenario but I wanted to post about this event as it was such a fun night and unlike anything I have ever done before. <br />
<br />
(I also want to come up with a regular post schedule so I will work out when will be best for that, as I want to diversify my blog into more areas of my life than just fashion and beauty. A post dedicated to thank you all for the 25,000 page views will be on it's way soon too!) <br />
<br />
So back to the event. I found out about this event due to the organisers at the BP Portrait Award sending me the link to RSVP on Twitter totally out of the blue. I looked up the event on the National Portrait Gallery website and thought that it seemed like something I have never done before so why not. My parents went to art college and so I had been bought up being taken to galleries and I really love looking at art, even if I am not that great at actually doing it myself. I believe that my art is fashion and the odd bit of colouring in, but I appreciate the statement that artists make when they do what they do, so I knew I would enjoy it. <br />
<br />
The event was on a Monday evening and allowed us (a group of probably 30 14-19 year olds) to see the gallery after hours and meet some of the award winners from the competition this year that BP had sponsored (and is still on show to the public until the 21st September). There was a wide range of activities that night, from the chance to sketch the portraits for a competition, to getting a taste of curating by writing new labels for the paintings which were specifically for a teenage audience. Food and music also played a part, and I must give a shout out to the amazing TVR for his Slam Poem which was just incredible. <br />
<br />
I feel very lucky to of been able to see the amazing entries up close and meet some of the artists who were inspiring and allowed us to see behind the canvas in a way you wouldn't get to from simply looking at the art. <br />
<br />
The art itself was beautiful, from photo-realists to the more abstract portraits of people who were not famous and to those who were simply friends of the artists. We weren't allowed to take pictures of the art itself but if you want to see the rest of the exhibitors online you can click <a href="http://www.npg.org.uk/whatson/exhibitions/bp-portrait-award-2014/the-exhibition/exhibitors.php">here</a> but of course if you are in London go and check out the exhibition itself!<br />
<br />
So I wanted to thank the organisers for inviting me and to all the friends I made while walking the galleries. <br />
<br />
Speak to you all very soon I hope,<br />
Luv, <br />

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
So last Tuesday was my 18th Birthday! And it was such a lovely day I had the best time! So I thought I'd give you a diary style post about what I did!</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5:00am: My beautiful kitten sings me happy birthday - well no she howls to go out, mum lets her out and I sleep for a bit longer! </div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl66oYseXKhTBHv-oyozv3ATSL-5nBWxrSPDE98aozTaABF-vJEOI18tXr5MTRZEIk3w3F3eXXTZUOAtvZdhFaXSQfVIoLqEAZAgcskx-u2QUANDusEB6FIMFNgFFAR3DQZSPxNKPIXvJu/s640/blogger-image-1099549029.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhl66oYseXKhTBHv-oyozv3ATSL-5nBWxrSPDE98aozTaABF-vJEOI18tXr5MTRZEIk3w3F3eXXTZUOAtvZdhFaXSQfVIoLqEAZAgcskx-u2QUANDusEB6FIMFNgFFAR3DQZSPxNKPIXvJu/s640/blogger-image-1099549029.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
6:00am-ish: Woke up eventually and go downstairs to see parents, have tea and open my lovely presents! Hotel Chocolat chocolate for breakfast - perfect! Then nap for a bit longer till parents go to work. </div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHUDE4u_iMx4jo9rbLCI5_pINr_T2Tfwz2cBocvA460l3Pf3kFkrmlEOuvo997h1ASVpgUITJbKgGMjAdkFy9N0YbJ7B3GZ7TOjHBSOHx5wkqZDgzVUDErhPys59Woeb3hSJMKbSq8pF6N/s640/blogger-image-233197909.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHUDE4u_iMx4jo9rbLCI5_pINr_T2Tfwz2cBocvA460l3Pf3kFkrmlEOuvo997h1ASVpgUITJbKgGMjAdkFy9N0YbJ7B3GZ7TOjHBSOHx5wkqZDgzVUDErhPys59Woeb3hSJMKbSq8pF6N/s640/blogger-image-233197909.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
9:00am: Get up and run a Lush bath with the Space Girl bath bomb I got in one of my presents. Smelt amazing! Watched YouTube while in the bath. Then get ready to meet mum in Canary Wharf for lunch. Am wearing my favourite pink skirt outfit (seen in this post). Make up wise I wore my natural base, accentuated with a gold sparkly eyeshadow from a Next pallette and on my lips I used the Rimmel Lasting Finish Colour Rush in shade 100 topped with the Lancôme Juicy Tube in a Toffee flavour (not sure on the exact shade sorry). The jewellery that I wore: my new Michael Kors bracelet and my F21 heart necklace.</div>
<div>

</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<br /></div>
<div>
12:15am: Meet mum at Carluccios. Fritto Misto (my fave) was not on the menu, but we had Bruchetta and a breaded Chicken dish (Millanaise I think) from the set menu and it was lovely! I also had Cherry juice which is rare to get hold of and was so tasty! We had a lovely chat outside in the sun, then I went round the shopping malls and met Max Chilton the F1 driver and Natalie Pinkham from Sky F1 which was soo cool for an F1 fan like myself. </div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkoke7aZtsSZS2hybjXienPXjQPEWozolyysTwNL80zMAt7f-jCF2SBiXhDpE6pnIU13eAyDKWTgE6lmLAd1P4oaNnnVWcsjtKgxnNaFaRKxRReLcO_AK1zsO9rVos46lStLUuNunhBsZh/s640/blogger-image--2131751255.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkoke7aZtsSZS2hybjXienPXjQPEWozolyysTwNL80zMAt7f-jCF2SBiXhDpE6pnIU13eAyDKWTgE6lmLAd1P4oaNnnVWcsjtKgxnNaFaRKxRReLcO_AK1zsO9rVos46lStLUuNunhBsZh/s640/blogger-image--2131751255.jpg" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I also unashamedly bought another fluffy pen for my collection which is so cute! It's a tiger aww! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5:30pm: I returned home for a bit and relaxed before getting changed into my favourite summer beach trousers and vest top, styled with my Dorothy Perkins denim jacket with the sleeves rolled. Then I went out and met my parents in Zizzi's (mum gave me the Hello Kitty balloon which was on my Instagram and seen below) where we had amazing food, including a chocolate and banana calzone - Awesome! Then we saw the new Transformers film in 3D which was the best 3D film I've seen all year, yet it was an almost 3 hour film which was a tad long and didn't get home till quite late! </div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both;">

<br /></div>
<div>
00:05am 16th July: Finally went to sleep on such a high after such an amazing day! </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Thank you to everyone who made it the best birthday ever! Also I can keep my statement that it hasn't rained on my birthday in 18 years (bar a slight bit of drizzle first think that morning), which I think is pretty cool too. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
All the best, </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Update: I've been 18 a week now and I love it. I feel older which is strange as it never made an impact before! Woo! </div>
<div>

<div>
Anyway lots of luv as always,</div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am not used to writing full length beauty posts but one of my friends asked about how I had got my skin under control as she had noted a change for the better and I decided to write it down into a post, and I can almost review everything that I use. Very soon I am going to technically be an adult, but like most teenagers I suffer spots. Over the years, I tried everything. I mean everything. Even now I'm not sure if I've got it perfect but for the moment I've tamed my skin, not completely fixed it but it's 100% better than it was. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I basically was at the end of my tether and my mum went to The Body Shop because she wanted to get some stuff for herself and bought me back a set containing some products from the Tea Tree range. I have been using it since February and the results have been revolutionary. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
(I just want to point out as a disclaimer <b>this post is not sponsored by The Body Shop or any other shop </b>but I will be singing their praises.) </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At first I was only alternating the Cool and Creamy Face Wash and the Squeaky Clean Scrub day and night, depending on the condition of my skin. Once a week I used the Face Mask and the Tea Tree Clearing Lotion acted as a 'on the spot' treatment to dry out the blemishes. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Eventually I found I really needed to introduce a good moisturiser into the routine because Tea Tree is quiet drying if you aren't careful, so I also bought The Body Shop's Mattifying Moisturiser with SPF which covers sun protection and helps with the oiliness of hormonal skin while helping prevent the drying. I have also been mixing this with the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser which is brilliant at reducing the size of open pores under make-up. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
At night I was using only the Tea Tree Night Serum, which was great at reducing the red scars left behind from previous spots, and my moisturiser, but I found that it was not enough moisture for my skin so I decided to add more products to my routine. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Straying away from The Body Shop slightly, I've also introduced two extra products into my routine. The Ultra Calm Skin Relief Serum from Botanics at Boots is amazing to help calm my skin when it is red and rebelling in the morning. And at night I mix it with the Tea Tree Night Serum and my Simple Kind To Skin Vital Vitamin Night Cream to create a lovely moisturising yet health giving night treatment.<br />
<br />
N.B. I am also trying out the Tea Tree BB Cream in Light and although it is a great base for make-up, I hope that this will become a good way to reduce the amount of make-up I wear which in turn helps the skin as it means there is less need for a fuller coverage and more for targeted coverage only on the areas it is needed. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Altogether my skin is much better than it was, I have to also watch that my hair doesn't get oily as that also affects my skin, as does the amount of water I drink and how late I stay up. Recently I have been up quite late and I'm feeling it, my skin is not happy. It will get under control though. I have faith. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I hope this helps anyone who is trying to get their skin under control, however most of the time it is personal and someone's recommendations will not always be perfect for everyone. I know for definite that once you've made a plan you have to stick it out for a long time before you start changing things, as your skin takes time to adapt and take on the effects.</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
Hope you are all well, </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
All the best, </div>

<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I am sitting in my mums comfy recliner chair looking out the window at the lovely sunshine beaming down onto my front lawn. </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
[update: it is actually pouring down with rain now but it was sunny when I started this post and can't bare to not be nostalgic for the summer sun which has abandoned us for the time being.]</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
I know many of you are already enjoying your summer wardrobe (I am certainly), I thought I would write a post of my top 5 summer must have staples in my collection: </div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
1. Espadrilles - for those of you who have been following my blog for a few years, you will know my love for the comfy summer shoes and this year it's no different. I have bought a new pair this year which are sparkly! I love them so much and they go with everything. </div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwRFsga-v6vvRx1aMql0latQDIm5xlumUQ3buYLPVbf7f6CLQu9M7sGfShILkzDqLIh-avSzZyEgy9NUm9NtpSK7Vn4WT5XKwnTtriyoxhGQ-vfQyxIf-y3YqVGgH2m2RiorLlbbUgUUv4/s640/blogger-image--1351734553.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhwRFsga-v6vvRx1aMql0latQDIm5xlumUQ3buYLPVbf7f6CLQu9M7sGfShILkzDqLIh-avSzZyEgy9NUm9NtpSK7Vn4WT5XKwnTtriyoxhGQ-vfQyxIf-y3YqVGgH2m2RiorLlbbUgUUv4/s320/blogger-image--1351734553.jpg" width="220" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
2. Soft beach trousers - I bought my first pair after suffering bad sunburn on my legs last holiday and they are blue with floral pattern which are so comfy. I am very pleased that there are loads on the high street. I bought the black floral patterned pair (see below) recently from Peacocks. (I want some of the ones from Next too but I can't decide on a colour)</div>
<div>
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq_2JNeeA-fbt7xRFj8VCo6Wx1jcqPJrojbZ9nmDlNdIQHbUzN-n_HZovBD11eP8IwYVbuJYlszbrH9ZSvJo6GbG6pcXw5XX8rQPnTTR9dF8otLEKwXY5YMvyIzhfJ2O-ExX7TLLWSamfo/s640/blogger-image-167138220.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhq_2JNeeA-fbt7xRFj8VCo6Wx1jcqPJrojbZ9nmDlNdIQHbUzN-n_HZovBD11eP8IwYVbuJYlszbrH9ZSvJo6GbG6pcXw5XX8rQPnTTR9dF8otLEKwXY5YMvyIzhfJ2O-ExX7TLLWSamfo/s320/blogger-image-167138220.jpg" width="161" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
</div>
<span style="font-family: inherit;">3. Pale tights - if you are a bit worried of scars or discolouration on your legs but do want to get some sun and wear a dress - then tights are a very good way to show them off while disquising anything. I wear Marks and Spencer as they are very thin yet you can get a variation of shades, you can even get a Natural Tan without sun-worshipping.</span><br />
<div>
<br /></div>
<div>
4. Anything gold - It is my summer colour and I love gold eyeshadow, lip gloss, nails. I also love it in my shoes and I bought my staple gold sandals from Red Herring at Debenhams in the sale! Result!</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEPeAKWw-A216UmaEnoFE7Rp63cqV743zolPW0sXDNyNXsNXB_ONw-uneVM8glz9wJw0IXdzSAK8YhjIs8dDkVvq-IeHk3tyzxQRQvHggR-tkaqOHFcHgsrc2zn2fLVpWc4AX_ZggfGkpp/s640/blogger-image--1718575797.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjEPeAKWw-A216UmaEnoFE7Rp63cqV743zolPW0sXDNyNXsNXB_ONw-uneVM8glz9wJw0IXdzSAK8YhjIs8dDkVvq-IeHk3tyzxQRQvHggR-tkaqOHFcHgsrc2zn2fLVpWc4AX_ZggfGkpp/s320/blogger-image--1718575797.jpg" width="252" /></a></div>
<br /></div>
<div>
5. A cover up - anything from a kimono to a cardi, this year there are plenty on the high street and I love this one from Tokyo Doll at New Look and Primark have a few good ones. Basically it's a way to smart up a casual outfit without over-heating in a cardigan/blazer/jacket.</div>
<div>
</div>
<div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1cvVMaPKzSER0r8XJTyxX9I_ikbuA-Mv_B5Kx2duUHcQtgNIioGgizYZjkvojhWRc3DPrHs4Hg6NpiVWXg4Tbk1mK1AYO6TjETV3ZuA7_9yPsie4M74YMDjMgdLQ41xXw__vBn24MQtHW/s640/blogger-image-1830181993.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg1cvVMaPKzSER0r8XJTyxX9I_ikbuA-Mv_B5Kx2duUHcQtgNIioGgizYZjkvojhWRc3DPrHs4Hg6NpiVWXg4Tbk1mK1AYO6TjETV3ZuA7_9yPsie4M74YMDjMgdLQ41xXw__vBn24MQtHW/s320/blogger-image-1830181993.jpg" width="266" /></a></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
After a very long hiatus I am finally free of the shackles of school and exams, heading into what I like to call life 3.0. I have been in school for 14 years now, that was life 2.0, and before that well I was very small and I suppose that was life 1.0. So I heading into a new phase and am planning to improve myself this year, as I realise more about myself, without my life revolving primarily around school. <br />
<br />
I can't really say that I have many plans for what I am going to do, but blogging and interestingly vlogging (did someone say YouTube channel, I will let you know when I launch my channel) are going to become a major part of my life as I've missed it so much and will be able to focus more on what I love. So keep your eyes on both of my blogs - my other lifestyle/advice blog is linked above if you haven't checked it out and want to please do. <br />
<br />
I have a few post ideas to re-launch my blog, all summer related, one handbags, on clothes and the last one is a beauty look inspired by my mums blog. I also was thinking of reviewing books on this blog if you would be interested in that as I have a HUGE amount of books of varying genres and would love to get through them all as soon as possible. <br />
<br />
So just a brief I'm back post today, but have got more time now so it will not be long till my next one, promise. <br />
<br />
- Just a side note, I have <a href="http://instagram.com/ambsg_15" target="_blank">Instagram</a> so you can keep up with my travels on there, as well as the usual <a href="https://www.facebook.com/LDNTeenageFashionista" target="_blank">Facebook</a> and my <a href="https://twitter.com/TheRealAmberG" target="_blank">Twitter</a>. <br />
<br />
I hope you are all well and enjoying the sunshine, <br />
<br />
Lots of luv,<br />
