New trends, keeping them checked!

Hey guys,

The sun has decided to grace us with its presence today in London - I am still wearing a cardi as the wind is chilly but the gloves have gone at last!

I'm just off to the high street to get some clothes for work experience next week! I've got minimal make up on and am wearing a smile - it's amazing what the vitamin D in the sunshine can do to a person.

So I have been taking a couple of days R&R as per my head of college's advice and so have been flicking through the fashion magazines. Within the pages I see a very interesting time ahead for fashion (metallics at Burberry and check board patterns at Louis Vuitton are just two standouts) which will certainly shake things up and spring us into action.

My question is how well these trends will enter the high street? Sport luxe is still the measure of how well the designers can achieve a catwalk trend and even then only a few stores have got it spot on.

It is very hard for instance, to wear an entire brown checkered dress unless you are a model or a shiny mac unless you are a mini Beckham. I have a terrible fear that a highly radical set of trends will look awkward against the safe pastels and nautical looks that traditionally live on the high street in Spring/Summer.

So here's to hoping for success and a shake up around here, because blimey do we need it!

Lots of luv,

LDN Teenage Fashionista xx♥
