New trends, keeping them checked!

Hey guys,

The sun has decided to grace us with its presence today in London - I am still wearing a cardi as the wind is chilly but the gloves have gone at last!

I'm just off to the high street to get some clothes for work experience next week! I've got minimal make up on and am wearing a smile - it's amazing what the vitamin D in the sunshine can do to a person.

So I have been taking a couple of days R&R as per my head of college's advice and so have been flicking through the fashion magazines. Within the pages I see a very interesting time ahead for fashion (metallics at Burberry and check board patterns at Louis Vuitton are just two standouts) which will certainly shake things up and spring us into action.

My question is how well these trends will enter the high street? Sport luxe is still the measure of how well the designers can achieve a catwalk trend and even then only a few stores have got it spot on.

It is very hard for instance, to wear an entire brown checkered dress unless you are a model or a shiny mac unless you are a mini Beckham. I have a terrible fear that a highly radical set of trends will look awkward against the safe pastels and nautical looks that traditionally live on the high street in Spring/Summer.

So here's to hoping for success and a shake up around here, because blimey do we need it!

Lots of luv,

I have been very busy I'm so sorry!

Hey guys,

I am so sorry for being so distant but as predicted A levels have been causing me a headache and I am also trying to deal with all the future like uni and what to do while I am there. (I will post a catch up on Dear Aphrodite later today)

So I do have some posts that have been scattered across the universe that I hope to bring to you this week as I finally have a break before mocks begin. Today is therefore not only an apology for my absents but a taster into what will be coming soon:

- I went back to the V&A fashion department after my first outing there when I began this blog with a camera this time!

- It's award show season, I'll show you some faux pas that have struck the red carpet and how I think some actresses have got it bang on.

- Also I am predicting what of the new trends from the catwalks will be gracing the high street and there are some to be careful of I must say!

So here is to free time at long last, don't worry I'm here to stay,

Lots of love, as always,
