My Camden Day!

Hey guys,

Today I had the most fun looking a cute and fabulous jewellery in one of the world's most famous markets! I must say the selection was vast and it was hard to pick but I managed as you can tell by my enthusiastic writing! I love it there so much and this imaginative style of Jewellery is really popular at the moment so I needed to fit in!

I also went to Accessorize! The best shop on the high street for cute things! It is not very expensive and has huge ranges to accommodate all accessories needs! Mr Dior recommends only sticking to two colours per outfit but if you are feeling brave then go bold! No one will stop you!

Oooh before I go my top tip for accessories at the moment: Cameo Necklaces I own two the blue one is below and I own a pink one too. Massive trend, easy to wear!

Profile: Diane Von Furstenberg

Hey Guys,

This post was a request by my mother, a profile on the incredible designer Diane Von Furstenberg. Back in 1972 she shook the fashion world with her iconic wrap dress and now she lives on with cool classy collections that make the whole fashion world smile.
Originally born in Brussels, she moved to New York in 2001 and by 2002 was an American citizen. A re-launch of her wrap dress came after a break from fashion. Diane then returned back to the fashion scene with a bang. The fall 2010 season has been rocking the catwalk with an elegant mix of edgy and feminine looks that really give women the right looks to aim for! She really knows how to dress a woman and I love her clothes.

Thank you Diane!

The little dictionary of fashion by Christian Dior: My bible

Hey guys,

I am not religious, but this little book I acquired while at the V&A Museum in London, has now become my Bible. Mr Dior wrote this book himself in 1954 and it is frankly amazing. The way he styles women is astonishing and in no way offensive or downgrading. In fact he almost lifts women up to their higher place as goddesses, instead of the lower class view of some people that put women down. He certainly wasn't one of the many who had those views and was an incredible designer of quality that simply not many could ever dream of... (apart from Coco Chanel but that's only my opinion)

In the book, it is a simple A-Z of all things women need to know on how to dress, right down to there cut and colour. I love his simplistic ideas and views, that would look so chic on anyone. For instance he says about Accessories:
"You must choose a colour that will match many clothes in your wardrobe. Unless you have a lot of money it is wiser to choose black, navy or brown for your accessories rather than a bright red or green. It is a question of care and taste."

He is an icon and I will treasure his book all my life! I hope you have been inspired because I assure you I have.

Converse: Shoe Heaven!!

Hey guys,

This post is dedicated to the shoes I wear most: Converse. The simple trainer that has been changing lives since 1908 with the company still booming and moulding to new trends, while keeping the simple High-Top as centre stage. I have two pairs myself, One red High-Top and one black ankle length pair but both keeping the immortal white sole. In 1913, Converse produced a catalogue with the following words: “Our company was organized in 1908 fully believing that there was an earnest demand from the retail shoe dealer for a rubber shoe company that would be independent enough not to follow every other company in every thing they do.” Those words would go down in history Always a brand for those independent enough not to follow, the young company would befriend a young sport: Basketball. And now 102 years later we still wear them!

This photo above was taken by my friend Emma Rogers, of a girl wearing the iconic shoes. I think this is living proof Converse is still the ultimate shoe and will live for many more years!

I really don't need to say anything else apart from I love you Converse!!!!!!!

R.I.P Alexander McQueen

Ok while posting about fashion I feel I need to dedicate a post to the late great Alexander McQueen. He died on Thursday the 11th February at the age of 40 and is a legend in British fashion history. He came up with the weird and the wacky, alongside skinny jeans and leggings which have become normal. His fashion shows, more recently in Paris but also in the U.K showed his designer flare to its best with him being creative and fabulous at the same time. He has dressed Beyoncé and Lady Gaga just to name a few. One of his dresses sits amongst other amazing dresses at the V&A and the whole fashion world mourns him.

So I just wanted to say Thank You Alexander for inspiring us all to fall in love with fashion, especially me.

Blazers. We have all seen them and loved them but this is a trend that will never die with new cuts and styles being shown all the time. From Chanel and the designers to the River Island high street chic we all know and love. But you have to find your style because there is not only one cut of blazer. From Destressed Casual to Military Scene. Blazers have a place in our world for many years to come!

If you want to look for some good inspiration I suggest checking out Chanel for the ultimate high end and River Island for high street alternatives.

chillin' I never chill when there is fashion to be seen!

Hey guys,

While hanging with my friend today (she will remain unnamed) we discussed the use of leggings in fashion! Now these are bang on trend for that spring look. You can keep warm while looking stunning! I prefer a denim look but black leggings are a staple item every girl should own! Rock these with over size tees and high heels or converse for an easy switch between night time and day wear!

Well I am going to go and look at some hot new trends and I will report back tomorrow!

Remember Spring is only a few weeks away!

Ooh what a fabulous day!

Hey guys,

While browsing the malls in Canary Warf today, admiring the new flirty fashions at Topshop and the rough edgy look i love in River Island, I noticed a new opening in the shape of a LEVI store. Now you can always rely on Levi for a good pair of jeans but they also stock affordable and fabulous tees and check shirts that really rock! If you want that easy, chic day look that is the place to head!!!

Lots of love

Ok first post scary stuff!

Hey guys,

I am an ordinary girl from London who has a big dream! I want to be a barrister in the future but right now i am loving the fashion culture that London gives me! With the BRITS blaring out from my TV and my cute Hamster chewing her tube behind me, this is what i call home, However, when i am out and about fashion is always on my mind. I buy at least 6 magazines a month and love reading about new fashions, but while at the V&A museum in London today i learnt that the vintage side of fashion is so much more inspiring and really affects the clothes i wear today!

In this blog i will talk about designer brands because they give us the trends but as i said, i am just an ordinary girl who has never spent more than £50 on one item of clothing!

I hope you enjoy learning about how i see fashion and learn something new!
